Careers at CE2

We are looking for a civil engineer to join our team. Applicants must have 1-3 years of relevant experience in the engineering industry (FE/EIT preferred), with strong technical writing and excellent verbal communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, and must have passed FE exam. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with strong attention to detail, and is expected to assist the engineering team with the following tasks:

 

• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data

• Assess potential risks, costs, and materials

• Prepare technical and feasibility studies

• Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports

• Prepare sketches and coordinate with CAD department to develop design drawings and figures in AutoCAD & Civil 3D

• Prepare cost estimates and specify equipment/materials

• Write technical memoranda and develop specifications

• Develop and track schedules and budgets

• Prepare monthly project summary reports

• Provide engineering support during construction administration phase

 

Projects may include: water supply, treatment, storage, distribution; wastewater collection, treatment, disposal; rural roads, and solid waste landfills. May require occasional day or overnight travel to rural Alaska for site visits and/or inspections. Experience in water/wastewater design is necessary, and experience with AutoCAD & Civil 3D is a plus. Proficiency with Office 365 Word/Excel/Outlook is a must. Small, flexible office.
